Landify V3: A personal project to success

What is Landify?

Landify is a Figma landing page UI kit designed to create high-converting, modern landing pages in minutes. Built with Figma Variables, it allows effortless customization, making the process faster and more efficient.

How It All Started

Back in 2020, I was working on multiple website projects with tight deadlines. I needed a UI kit to speed up my workflow, but to my surprise, I couldn't find a multi-purpose landing page kit that fit my needs.

After wrapping up those projects, I decided to build my own kit. I refined sections from my past work, created a few more, and packaged them into a kit with 90+ sections. I shared it on the Figma Community, not expecting much—just hoping it would help others facing the same challenges.

Early Success

Thirty days after launch, Landify had over 4,000 downloads. I was completely taken aback by its rapid success.

A year later, when I revisited Landify, I was blown away—over 55,000 users have downloaded it! The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and many fellow designers encouraged me to create a premium version.

The Evolution of Landify

With user feedback and growing interest, I worked on a more comprehensive update. In January 2022, Landify V2 launched as a premium kit with 170+ sections, including desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.

Figma Community Awards

In 2022, Figma introduced the first-ever Figma Community Awards, and Landify was nominated as a finalist for the "Favorite UI Kit for Figma" category.

Though I didn’t win, making it to the finals was a huge milestone. The Figma team sent some goodeis to the finalists—an unforgettable moment in my journey.

Plans That Didn't Work Out

In 2023, I started working on the next version using Tokens Studio (formerly Figma Tokens). I had completed around 80% of the work when Figma announced Figma Variables. Check the progress here with Tokens Studio.

It was a tough call. Should I continue with Tokens Studio or pause and wait for Figma Variables to evolve? Users were more likely to adopt Figma Variables over a plugin. At that point, Figma Variables lacked a few tokens like Typography tokens, making it impossible to rebuild the kit. So, I decided to take a pause.

During this break, I explored Framer and built Framerize—a library of 300+ Framer components, still aligned with my mission of "building websites faster than ever."

Landify V3: The Comeback

By 2024, Figma Variables had evolved, filling the missing gaps. I restarted the project, paused, restarted again, and then stalled. Life felt like a roller coaster. I questioned whether I should even continue building Landify.

Then, I came across this quote:

That hit hard. I decided to push through. 2025 is my year.

I spent the last three weeks focused on building Landify V3. Now, it’s here—packed with 350+ sections, powered by Figma Variables for easy customization.

What started as a personal project to solve my design needs has become a widely loved resource in the design community. I am deeply grateful for the support from fellow designers and friends.
